Did you know you can now achieve a degree as part of an apprenticeship?
EDF Energy's apprenticeship schemes opened on 1 October. Roles are based at either the HPC site in Bridgwater, the Bristol office or with the SZC team currently based in London.
Apprenticeships have always been a good way for young people to earn and learn on the job. But there are now even more programmes available – such as degree apprenticeships – for all trades and professions, including business support roles.
Hinkley Point C (HPC) will be the first in a new generation of nuclear power stations in the UK and Sizewell C (SZC) will be the second of this generation to be built in the UK, following the construction of HPC. There are many opportunities for young people in the South West to work not just with EDF Energy but also with our partners who are building the Power Station.
If you are currently in year 11 why not take a look to see what roles interest you? Applications are made online through the EDF Energy website – you have to be quick though as schemes can close early if there are enough suitable applicants. All roles will start in September 2019.
As soon as you are aged 16 you can register for our Young HPC programme – you will be one of the first to hear about vacancies on the project, be invited to taster days and skills sessions and lots more. Please register here> www.edfenergy.com/younghpc
