Students and staff alike demonstrated their passion for reading by dressing up as their favourite characters to celebrate World Book Day.
An astounding level of creativity and effort had gone into the costumes, which covered a whole library of literary favourites. The first prize winners for Years 7, 8 and 9 were Freya Dalgarno, Mia Garland and Willow Card. The staff winner was Mr Baumgardt as the Mad Hatter.
During tutor time, students tested themselves by matching the teacher to their favourite children’s book, with T-NRH coming out on top. At lunch time, Oliver Shakesby took on the role of quiz master as he challenged students to show off their knowledge of young adult literature.
At the end of a wonderful day, Crispin had raised £60 for Book Aid International, the official charity of World Book Day. This money will provide an entire library for a school in Africa, helping young people to change their lives through the power of books.
Thankyou to everyone that got involved!
